First, please let me take a moment to say
thank you for visiting our site. Please know that personalized
service is our main goal and we will work extensively with each customer
to make sure you receive what you are looking for.
The idea for The Memories Zone custom memory quilts site came from
my family's own story that needed memorialized. I have lost both a
brother and my father in the past years. After their passing, I asked
my mother to set aside their shirts because someday I was going to
make a "memory quilt". I did not even have a sewing machine
at the time. It had also been a long time since I had sewn anything.
After some time passed, I finally purchased a sewing machine and picked
up the shirts and went to town creating a quilt I never knew how to
make.
I carefully cut the shirts and decided to include seams, buttons,
pockets, etc., everything that might have been touched. I wanted it
all in the quilts. When finished, I sat in amazement on how comforting
it was to have this quilt. Favorite clothing items were included in
a quilt that I could wrap myself in and remember them with. Then I
started creating designed clothing blocks (butterflies, stars, etc)
and adding photos and more. One year for Christmas, I even made quilts
for each of my 3 sisters and then a designed butterfly block quilt
for my mother. From there, the projects kept appearing. At the encouragement
of family and friends, "The Memories Zone" was born. My
goal is truly to treat each item ordered as if it were for my own
family.
Now, not only do we make memorial quilts, we celebrate every aspect
of memories (both past and present) by creating photo memory
quilts or T-Shirt and Jeans quilts for any occasion. If you have
a memory that you would like to preserve, we would like to help. The
memory items can be as small or large as requested. We can create
wall hangings as well.
Since "we" is referred to a lot on "our" site,
I think "we" should introduce ourselves. "We"
are currently a two person team. My name is Trish and I do all of
the creating, sewing, quiltings, etc., and the other team member is
my hubby Jeff. He does the "understanding" when I'm sewing
nonstop to finish the quilts by the date promised. He is the "support"
system. I could not do it without him! . It takes two or more to make
this venture a team success. "We" appreciate your visit!!!
Finally, again a note of thanks for taking the time to visit. You
can be sure that you will receive the personalized service that your
memories deserve in order to be preserved in whichever format you
choose.
Thank you!
Trish
